We’re finding happiness in everything we can’t see My life is so wonderful, how come things always work out for me? The morning sun shines, just like roses by my door The rain clouds have gone on holiday, won’t be back to bother us any more I don’t care if this happiness is real or just another dream Either way, we just need some more to make it through another week And if it feels like you’re cheating yourself or you’re feeling insincere Try to remember how it was before, now aren’t you glad you’re still right here There is a happiness in the magazines Happiness in magazines
2.
So sad don’t why; one shot but too afraid to try Oh well, that sucks I guess, different day but back in a familiar mess Can’t go out, so we’re lying in Going crazy in our imagination Got your health, that counts for a lot Need a break from not doing enough Still, it’s a nice day It’s a nice day, Nigel Got a promotion for a job I don’t think is real My screen is frozen but in my heart, I dream free Can’t get excited about what’s making the news Sun might be shining but we all know it’s not for you Can’t go out, so we’re lying in Going crazy in our imagination Got your health, that counts for a lot Need a break from not doing enough Still, it’s a nice day It’s still a nice day, Nigel Stronger together now we’ve got you on file But if it’s all the same, I think I’ll decline Please don’t think I’m better than this Coming together starting to make me sea-sick
3.
It’s not as much fun as fun used to be In fact, it’s really starting to get to me Maybe it’s you but I think it’s me You used to be cute but now it’s just rude It’s not like we didn’t any fun But thinking back we did things That we shouldn’t have done No, we shouldn’t have done Where are we now? What am I now? How will we know? How could we know? Don’t you worry about what maybe has past But I really need to get you out of my place Can you move your stuff it’s getting in the way? Memories not much value these days I’m sure you probably feel the same way When you look at me and you’ve nothing new to say But that’s alright, I guess it’s fine You’ve things to forget and so do I Where are we now? What am I now? How will we know? How could we know? It’s not like this hasn’t happened all the time If you ask your friends they’ll say it’s fine I still appreciate who we almost were Back when the good times were everywhere We know we’re never going back We know we’re never going back But that doesn’t mean sometimes We won’t try Where are we now? What am I now? How will we know? How could we know
4.
Don’t think about it all the time It’s just when you drift into my mind It’s not like it was a major deal You know some days it doesn't even feel real But still, I can’t just let it die Through these memories I can’t escape my own life And even if we were to reconnect I don’t think it would be the same Time moves on but here we stand People change but not like that Going crazy to think the way I do So long ago, how did it feel for you? When ‘Rose-coloured’ was never really our style Sometimes I like to stay here for a while But still, I can’t just let it die Through these memories, I can’t escape my own life We’re living Living in circles again Trying to break free But we don’t know why We don’t want to know why Maybe, we don’t want to know why?
5.
When you think you’ve had just about enough And the good times, seem so out of touch Just hold on ‘cos it won’t be long Till we’re to the place where Nothing as bad as that again Nothing as bad as that again Nothing as bad as that again Nothing as bad as that again When the bad news is all we get Let’s try to do anything else instead Though it might look like the world is wrecked I don’t think so Just take a look around And see what’s going down again Take a look around And see what’s going down Again
6.
Whatever it takes to fix it, you know I’d do it for you And all those chances wasted, I feel so blue But now I’m back, been away too long Won’t you please lie here with me? Just for a little bit longer Come on down You said I never knew how to treat you, the way I should And I’m not claiming to be misunderstood It’s different now Won’t you let me show you how? Don’t need an invitation Why don’t you Come on down? Back to what we know, it can be Back to the start of everything You and me
7.
Me, Calm 02:21
Sure I’m calm now! Don’t tell me to count to 10 Don’t tell me not to let it in Don’t even suggest it’s all in my head You don’t know what happened, you don’t know what he said I’ve been really polite up till now Didn’t raise my voice or start throwing things around I’m a nice guy, just ask any of my friends But that’s all over yeah it’s time for that to end I’m calm now You’re right, it’s nothing Let’s just let it go Take it easy mate, no hard feelings Have a good one, catch you later Alright, no worries, I’m calm You know what you did don’t try to pretend you don’t You were being a dick and you took out your phone Why you look so worried now? Afraid of being exposed? Better get ready ‘cos I got the video What’s you’re name, who put you in charge? Doesn't matter, I got a picture of your car See you’re shaking, yeah you’re right to be afraid Good luck on Monday morning when you’re doing the walk of shame

No Why 01:43
9.
Fake Forests 02:26
Don’t stand outside The rain’s been coming down for almost 14 days and 14 nights Stuck with staying in And smiling experts sing along with just how good things have ever been I think I know What’s going on But I’m not sure I like it anymore Make up a mind Reset the rest Taking walks and working out isn’t helping the great reset We’ve kept our minds on track Counting up and down the days till we get to what we thought we lacked Do you even dream anymore? Or is it just something else you’ve to give up like banana bread and a stronger core? Flash visions of how great this might go Diet of illusions diluted twice with dreams That’s not to say, you’re no better off tomorrow What faults there are, are not your fault but when you think about it, maybe they are A nation was thrown together in endless repeats of oven-ready compelling television treats
10.
I don’t know how I’m supposed to feel So messed up tryin’ to keep things real When feeling low just seems like every day You do what you can to make it through okay Are we out of time? And do we even mind? I can see an end in sight We’re holding on For another day Can’t remember before what was now Would you return if you could somehow? What’s been lost maybe we’ll never miss Is all we have all that there is? Are we out of time? And do you even mind? I can see an end in sight We’re holding on For another day Welcome to whatever this is We hope you’ll take the ride with us
11.
Well it’s been so long since I’ve been back where I needed to be For far too long, I’ve been drifting inside and outside of me Now finally, I think I’m in a place where my mind can be free No, I don’t think I’m going to miss those feelings that dragged me away from me So let’s sing how it feels when we were lost for a while Now it’s so comforting to know we haven’t really lost our minds Sometimes reality creeps back all I do is close my eyes Yeah, my dreams are still crazy, but at least I’m still alive.

about

R.D.R.D. presents: ‘The Infinity Repeater’, our debut release which was written and recorded at home in, The Creative Lab', Dublin, Ireland from January to March 2021.

R.D.R.D. is Richard Doran & Ryan Doran, a father/son duo who decided to use an extended, break to record some upbeat, garage rock & roll as a way of staying sane and having some fun. This is Ryan’s (11 years old!) debut recording project and he seemed to have a lot of fun during it's creation.
